Monique Powers is an illusionist, a visionary, and a natural born artist. Since the age of thirteen, her interest in makeup has exploded into a passion for wanting to help women look and feel their absolute best. Her passion persuaded her to eventually pack up her makeup brushes and move from Sacramento to Los Angeles wherein she could use her skills to create illusions by transforming facial flaws into fabulous features. She has since devoted her time, talent, and energy to encourage and inspire women of all ages to take an interest in themselves so that others will find them interesting.

In an effort to bring more meaning to her work, Monique eventually attended and graduated from beauty school which enabled her to achieve her esthetician license to fulfill her desire to give back to the community as a volunteer makeup artist for the American Cancer Society and St. John’s Health Center in Santa Monica. Since then, she has received extensive training in the art of professional eyebrow shaping which is why she refuses to wax the eyebrows but instead chooses to tweeze and trim them only. Women cross county lines to get their eyebrows shaped by her and men trust her as well to keep their eyebrows looking masculine and well groomed.

Because Monique is so gentle and skillful with her brush strokes and tweezing technique, she is now a highly regarded and sought after airbrush makeup artist and eyebrow specialist. She has designed makeovers for thousands of women of all ages, nationalities and skin types and effortlessly covers tattoos, birthmarks, and various skin disorders.

Whether she is in her private studio or on location, she uses her skills to transform women for many special events such as weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, proms, birthday parties, etc. She sees clients by appointment only and serves all of California and worldwide.
