Shaping The Eyebrows
Eyebrows are not naturally angular or round but in fact a hybrid of the two. But before you begin shaping your eyebrows, you should know what the parameters are:
1. The start of your eyebrow should begin at the inside corner of your eye;
2. Your arch (the highest point of your eyebrow) should be right outside your iris;
3. The end of your eyebrow should not go beyond the outer corner of your eye; and,
4. Your eyebrows should be horizontal to each other from beginning to end.
To begin you will need:
1. Small angular brush
2. Spoolie brush (looks like a mascara wand)
3. Eyebrow pencil (perfect for “bald spots” on the brow)
4. Brow shadow or colored gel
Now here are four easy steps to shape and groom your eyebrows. You might need only Steps 1 and 2 but most people, need all 4.
1: Identify the beginning, middle and end of your eyebrow shape by drawing an angular line with your eyebrow pencil or use an angular brush with brow shadow.
2: So that your eyebrow edges have a soft edge to them, draw a line with a slight bend to it. Do this with an eyebrow pencil or brow shadow that compliments or is slightly lighter than your hair.
3: Take that same color that you are using and fill in the shape that you’ve just created.
(This step only applies if you are filling in or creating an entirely new eyebrow.)
4: Use an eyebrow pencil slightly darker than the first color used and create hair-like strokes and use a spoolie brush to soften the effects. (Again, this step only applies if you are filling in or creating an entirely new eyebrow.)
